Thanks for your interest in Seamlyne tights!

Seamlyne Reproductions is closed, pretty much forever.

For those of you just tuning in, here's the story: Late in 2005, we got word from our supplier that we could no longer get realistic quantities of fabric in the colors that are most popular with our customers. We could still get the fabric, but only if we got six hundred yards at a time!

For those of you playing at home, that's a capital investment of about $75,000, about five times the net sales of this company for the last five years. Um...no.

Rather than start a frantic search for another supplier, we decided to retire. It's been a good run (more than ten years!), and now it's time to move on.

If you had a paid order with us, don't worry: your items will ship before December 28th, 2007.
If you had a pending or active but unpaid order, sorry, it's gone.
If you wished you'd ordered while you had the chance, yeah, well, us too. Sorry.

Many, many thanks to the people who made our business a success. We wish you all the best that life has to bring as we move on to new and exciting adventures.

While we're at it, though, I thought it might be interesting to let you in on a little secret. We have always tried to make Seamlyne appear to our customers to be a big company with a factory somewhere in middle America. See? I'm doing it again. "We have always tried..."

Truth: Seamlyne Reproductions is, and always was, just me. A guy in his basement with a very fast commercial serger and a roomful of fabric. I did the website, the photography, the pattern drafting, the designing, the sewing. The only part I didn't do was Quickbooks: my wife was kind enough to do that for me. Boy, am I glad to get THAT off my chest. :)

So, where to now? How about my other website?

Best wishes.

Bill
